Chip lives in Olathe, Kansas with his wife of 16 years, Suzie, and their 3 children (Katie 10, Ashley 8, and Garrett 4). He enjoys activities with his family, anything in the outdoors (especially traditional archery), and most sports. While Chip has dabbled in drawing and woodcarving over the years, he didn't get serious about his artwork until after Garrett was born. A work he did for Garrett's room inspired him to see how far he could take his talent. With the help of some books by prominent carvers and woodburners, he has taught himself woodcarving and pyrography. In 2009, after great encouragement from family, friends, and other artists, he decided to attempt to turn his hobby of woodcarving and pyrography into a business. Wild Fire Artistry was born! "Wild" relates to Chip's favorite subject, wildlife, and "Fire" relates to the pyrography work he does. "While I am still not sure where the Good Lord is leading me with this new business, I thank him for giving me some talent and the opportunity to share it with others! " Chip Jones
